I finally understood what true love meant. Love meant that you care for another person's happiness more than your own, no matter how painful the choices you face might be.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Do not fault the successful participant in a flawed system; try instead to discern and rebuke that aspect of its organization which allows or encourages the behavior that has provoked your displeasure.

happy birthday to myself.

Greetings! I suppose I'll be blogging more on a regular basis since i've already gotten myself a new laptop. (I hope, *fingers crossed*)

Oh, just a shout-out to Garry & Seng Jueh. Hi guys, you people caught me back here. Thought nobody knew, but anyway, welcome. I just dropped by at you guys' blogs, and to my astonishment, you guys are still blogging! Fanciful blogskins and layouts, mine's getting simpler and plain. Just like my life. (Just sayin')

I used to have a lot of pictures on my blog. What happened to that habit of mine? Maybe I should do something about that.

Oh anyway, the picture below is a perfect example of the Siberian Husky i'd wanna get. Was supposed to get him, but.. never mind..

Hi all, I'm back! Nahs, I doubt if anyone's reading, but it doesn't really matter because this is just my own private space. Nobody needs to know about my ongoing life.

During my absence from all the drama world, I have finally realized the kind of life I would want to live. Oh and I realized that I didn't mention about my enlistment in the early post. Yeah, I've received mine (8 Sept) Initially, I was damn negative about it. I'm more or less neutral now.. que sera sera yo ;)

I know I am gonna sound damn bimbotic saying this, but GSS is here!! I am not gonna get anything, sadly. Money is so hard to earn and I am not gonna just squander away my hard earn money. Despite that, I am gonna get a laptop though. With my own money of course. I have no idea when was the last time I took money from my parents. *Pats on my back*

Penny for a thought; In life, everybody goes through setbacks. We just fall and get back on our feets again. Ultimately, we will still reach our destination. Just that some people take more time, others take shorter. Just like how what we learnt in Physics; Displacement & Distance. In only we know what lies before us, we wouldn't be wasting so much effort, time and heartaches of course..

Something has changed within me. Something is not the same. I'm through with playing by the rules of someone else's game. Too late for second-guessing, too late to go back to sleep. It's time to trust my instincts, close my eyes: and leap! I'm through accepting limits cause someone says they're so. Some things I cannot change. But till I try, I'll never know! Too long I've been afraid of losing love I guess I've lost! Well, if that's love it comes at much too high a cost! It's time to try defying gravity. I think I'll try defying gravity. Kiss me goodbye I am defying gravity. And you wont bring me down!

Xoxo,
D.

Just look when was my last update on this blog. As per what I see, the last post was on June 17 last year. And it was all about my internship at Cityneon Exhibitions. For those who doesn't have a single clue what does Cityneon does, in a nutshell it's pretty much about organizing events/ trade shows and exhibitions. In a blink of an eye, I've already graduated with a Diploma.

Speaking of which, I was really glad that my parents managed to attend for my graduation ceremony. With all honesty, I was hesitating to attend graduation. My closer polymates weren't interested, and it's pointless much to attend without them. That kinda held me back. Silly, I know. Back then when my eldest sister graduated, my dad was stationed at Shanghai and was unable to attend for hers. And now that he is back, he insisted in attending for mine.

Allow me to summarize everything during my absence. Not long after leaving Cityneon, I took a short getaway to Korea in late September till early October. South, of course. I totally missed Korea, every single inch of it. I guess the next visit to Korea would be when I have saved enough money for plastic surgery. Kidding. But hey, who knows right? ;)

Right after that was my birthday. Right, SKIP. School reopened shortly, last lap of my polytechnic days. Still managed to cope and survive through despite the horrendous modules such as Micro & Macroeconomics. But it was particularly this semester that made my overall GPA plunge. Gawd. Oh yes, a lot of skipping lessons and playing truant. Kinda regretted that, nonetheless it wasn't THAT bad.

Managed to squeeze in another getaway to Hong Kong & Macau in February. But this time was with my polymates. Everybody knows I love Hong Kong. There is no other better place than Hong Kong. Wait, that was a bit exaggerating but Hong Kong is the place I would want to migrate to, in the future when I retire.

And if you guys have not noticed, I have transformed into an extremely homely boy. No late nights, no drinking, no clubbing. Eh wait, I was drunk last night and I puked into this patch of grass right in front of my house. I have yet to check on that spot. But never mind. Do not misunderstand, I really am a very good boy now. Being wasted last night totally proved that I have not been drinking for a long time. I cannot comprehend how the hell did I manage to club every other day in the past. It's hell expensive. The drinks and cab fares cost all my savings. And due to the change, my life is less dramatic.

As for now. I'm concentrating on saving up because I am intending to get a puppy. Since I was young, I always wanted a dog. Just that my parents weren't okay with the idea. Now that they have given the green light, better strike when the iron is hot lest they change their minds. Besides, for those who doesn't know. I have relocated. I am still staying at Jalan Kayu but just a different house, temporarily. The previous house is in the midst of restructuring. Wondering if I should get the puppy now or when the new house is ready. And of course wondering if I should get just one or two :P (Golden Retriever & Siberian Husky)

Will be blogging more often, I hope. Ciao for now.
xoxo.

Greetings earthlings. Read this blog post at your own risk because it will be full of food that I have been indulging in for the past few days. Actually I do not miss my life, these quiet days are good as well. It’s time for a retreat, a period of time for concentrated quiet rest and contemplation. Too much of corporate politics just makes you wanna switch off any form of entertainment, because they are real and compelling enough.

Initially, I was known in school for being determined to change my choice of company for internship. I probably sent a dozens of emails to every related lecturer seeking help but to no avail. They promised me that this job would be a huge stepping stone towards the events industry, as compared from my friends from different companies. I did not buy that and I was very hell anal about it only until recently. I am really fortunate to be handling with 2 of the very few major events in Singapore 2010; Food and Hotel Asia 2010 & CommunicAsia 2010.

Besides learning on the job skills, there’s of the soft skills that you’d pick up along the way, definitely not found in the books. I’ve got my share of bitching, being stepped on and what nots, but you just have to take it in your stride, simply because you’re an intern. But having been in the situation, you just learn from it.

Can’t spell too much here, or else I’d have nothing to write in my report. Hahahaha! Enjoy the pictures!

Much apologies. I'm finally back. I know I'm guilty of negligence. Gosh, this is so Tort Law. FHA; Food and Hotel Asia 2010. It's about Hospitality Style Asia, Hospitality Techonology, Food Asia, Hotel Asia, Bakery and Pastry and last but not least Wine & Spirits! Hope the pictures tell you more about the event. Enough said, let the pictures talk!

If you look carefully, 2 are from Cityneon, the other two are from Singapore Expo. Hehehee! They are our classmate/schoolmate too! School of Hospitality; Diploma in Integrated Events Management.
Okay, this is how shitty we looked like on site. As in, during the event setup. Unshaved & hairband. Got style yo.

You actually need a license to use the forklift you know. I wish I had one.

I REALLY CAN CYCLE ALREADY LA GOD DAMNIT. WHY JUST NOBODY BELIEVES ME!?

Taking a cabbie to Singapore Expo. (& we would have Subway for breakfast every morning without fail, pocket says ouch*)

My gawd, they are bloody camwhores. Unlike me, beams*

If only I can take them home, like seriously. Urghh!

I'm not a fan of cakes. Hmm,

Cold display. White elephants much.

Award Winning Wines.

As the chefs are preparing food for us...

Don't they look good? Or damn good?

Food is rampant in a Food event. Fats.

And more delicious fats.

I personally love this photo very much. Look at the bottom right.. Epic facial expression

And benjamin ate a lot of food there!

My gawd, this is really a bed to die for. I wish when I die, I will be lying on this bed..

Mind you, this is no ordinary bread. I have never tasted such tasty bread. And it was delivered to the office: Attention to Darrell. Hehehhee! (FLICKS HAIR*)

Okay, this girls love role-playing so much. I'm the barista and they are the customers. Urghh!

This pretty french lady is pregnant!

Back at site office, with all the interns and Mr Bean.

Initially I was dreading to go for this compulsory BBQ/Chalet at NSF Safra sponsored by the company. In the end, tt wasn't a waste of time!

We were dancing to the song SHOTS. Retarded much right?! Lol!

Omg, Azza legs are a little scary here..
